Privacy Policy

How Best IPTV UK collects, uses and protects your personal data — written in plain English.

Who We Are #

For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller for this website is Best IPTV UK (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our contact email is hello@best-iptv-uk.com.

What We Collect #

We keep data collection to the minimum required to operate the website. Specifically:

  • Browsing data — pages viewed, time spent, referrer URL, browser, device, approximate location (city / region level), all collected via privacy-respecting analytics.
  • Cookie data — essential cookies for site function, plus optional analytics and affiliate cookies (only set when you click an outbound affiliate link).
  • Email correspondence — when you contact us via the email address on our contact page, your message and email address are stored in our inbox.
  • Comments & submissions — if comment forms are added, the name, email and message you submit.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or any sensitive personal data through this website. If you sign up to a recommended streaming service via an affiliate link, that data is collected by the provider, not by us — see the provider’s own privacy policy.

Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis) #

  • Legitimate interests — to operate the website, monitor performance, improve content based on what readers find useful.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising), captured via the cookie banner when you first visit.
  • Contract performance — to respond to enquiries you send us.

How We Use Your Data #

  • To improve site content based on aggregated reading patterns.
  • To respond to enquiries you send to our editorial inbox.
  • To attribute sign-ups via our affiliate links (so we receive commission, which funds the site).
  • To monitor and prevent fraud or misuse.

Cookies #

We use the following cookie categories:

  • Strictly necessary — keep the site functioning. Always on.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the site is used. Off by default; on only if you accept the cookie banner.
  • Affiliate — set when you click an outbound affiliate link, to let the destination provider attribute the visit. These cookies are set by the third-party network (e.g. Awin), not by us.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you disable strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may not function correctly.

Sharing Your Data #

We share data only with:

  • Our hosting provider, for server logs and operational purposes.
  • Privacy-respecting analytics providers, in aggregated/anonymised form.
  • Affiliate networks, only when you click their outbound links (and they place their own tracking cookies in line with their own privacy policies).
  • Legal authorities, if compelled by court order or law enforcement.

We do not sell your personal data, ever.

How Long We Keep Your Data #

Server logs and analytics: 13 months. Email correspondence: until you ask us to delete it, or three years from your last message (whichever is sooner). Affiliate cookies: lifetime as set by the affiliate network (typically 30 days).

Your Rights Under UK GDPR #

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal obligations.
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time, by clearing cookies in your browser.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe we’ve handled your data improperly.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@best-iptv-uk.com.

International Transfers #

Some of our analytics and hosting partners may be located outside the United Kingdom. Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure equivalent protection through Standard Contractual Clauses or by working with providers based in jurisdictions with UK adequacy decisions.

Children #

Best IPTV UK is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data via our site, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to This Policy #

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is dated April 2026. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page.
